cility for post-graduate work. and has
placed the opportunity for such ad-1
vanced university study within reach
of all who may desire it. and who
cannot go out of the state to obtain

number of students working for post
graduate degrees.
Its chemical biological. and physi
cal laboratories are well equipped and
have each a master teacher at its
head, and the college library, with its
;ooo volumes, is the delight of a
student's heart.

The money will be paid back to the

ment of the common schools of the
state. which are established and main
tained solely for the purpose (or
should he) of rearing good citizens -
men and women whose lives shall be
devoted to the common weal. The
men w~ho honestly accept these schol
arships are not accepting charity.

advance for the hard work, the self
sacrifice, the grind to which they sub
tect themieelves for the good of the
state.
