Tells How Any One Can Prepare Sim
ple Mome-Madc Mixture, Said to
Overcome Rheumatism.
There is so much Rheumatism here
in our neighborhood now that the fol
lowing advice by an eniment author
ity, who writes for readers of a large
Eastern daily paper, will be highly
appreciated by those who suffer:
Get from any good pharmacy one
half ounce Fluid Extract Dandelion,
one ounce Compound Kargon, three
! ounces of Compound Syrup Sarsapa
j rilla. Shalie these well in a bottle
|and take in teaspoonful doses after
I each meal and at bedtime; also drink
plenty of good water.
It is claimed that the i j are few
victims of this dread and torturous
disease who will fail to find ready re
lief in this simple home-made mix
ture, and in n:>st cases a permanent
cure is the result.
I This simple recipe is said to
strengthen and cleanse the elhnina
tive tissues of the Kdneys so that
they can filter and strain from the
blood and system the poisons, acids
and waste matter, which cause not
only Rheumatism, but numerous oth
er diseases. Every man or woman
here who feels that their kidneys are
not healthy and active, or who suffers
from any urinary trouble whatever,
should not hesitate to make up this
mixture, as it is certain to do much
good, and may save you from much
misery and suffering after while.
Our home druggists say they will
either supply the ingredients or mix
the prescription ready to take if our
readers ask them.
What a canary eats has been the
subject of research by a scientist who
weighed a canary and found it rather
over half an ounce. He also weighed
all the food and found that the bird
consumed thirty-two times its weight
every month, or actually more than its
own weight every day.

HIDDEN DANGERS.
Nature Gives Timely Warnings That
No Orangebnrg Citizen Can
Afford to Ignore.
DANGER SIGNAL NO. 1 comes
from the kidney secretions. They
will warn you when the kidneys are
sick. Well kidneys excrete a clear,
amber fluid. Sick kidneys send out
a thin, pale ,and foamy, or a thick
red, ill-smelling urine, full of sedi
ment and irregular of passage.
DANGER SIGNAL NO. 2 comes
from the back. Back pains, dull and
heavy, or sharp and acute tell you
of sick kidneys and warn you of the
approach of dropsy, diabetes and
3right's disease. Doan's Kidney
Pills cure sick kidneys and cure
them permanently.
E. Starton, well known in Flor
ence, S. C, says: "Doan's Kidney
Pills helped my back after every
thing else had failed, and after I
had thought that my back was worn
out. They made i) stronger than It
had been for five or six yean and
seemed to put a new backbone in me.
I have had a terrible time with back
ache which was greatly aggravated
by my work and at times ! hi-d to
lay off for I could not work on ac
count of the acute pains across my
loins. I could not begin to to'I you
all I have suffered. The secretions
from my kidneys also bothered me,
were very dark in color and con
tained sediment, being also too fre
quent in action and annoying me
during the day and preventing my
resting well at nights. I applied
plasters and rubbed my back w!th
liniments but nothing helped me un
til I read about Doan's Kidney Pills
and procured a box. They were just
what I needed and are the best back
ache remedy I ever used. 1 have not
had backache since I used them, the
kidney secretions are all right, I
can sleep all night without having to
get up and my back is stronger than
it has been for a number of years."

C CURES
id* SUN DISEASES
There is an evaporation from the body going on continually, day and
night, through the pores and glands of the skin. This is nature's way of
maintaining- the proper temperature of our systems an^ preserving the soft
ness and flexibility of the skin, and so long as the blood is free from impurs*
ities no trouble will vesult. When, however, the blood from any cause
becomes infected with humors and acids, these too must be expelled, and
coming in contact with the delicate fibres and tissues with which the skin is
so abundantly supplied they produce irritation and inflammation, and the
effect is shown by Eczema, Acne, Tetter, and skin affections of various kinds.
These impurities and humors get into the blood through a deranged or
inactive condition of the system ; the members whose duty it is to carry off
the waste and refuse matter of the body fail to properly perform their work,
and this impure, fermenting matter is left in the system to be absorbed by
the blood. The skin is not only affected by poisons generated within the
system, but poisons from without,
such as Poison Oak, Poison Ivy,
Nettle Rash, etc., enter through the
open pores and glands, and so thor
oughly do they become rooted in the
blood that they are ever present,
or return at certain seasons of each
year to torment the sufferer. Salves,
washes, lotions, etc.. cannot cure skin
diseases. True, such treatment re
lieves some of the itching and dis
comfort, and aUs in keeping the skin
clean, but it does not reach the real
cause, and at best can be only palli
ating and soothing. A thorough
cleansing of the b!o<>d is the only certain cure for skin diseases. S. S. S.,
a gentle acting, safe blood purifier, made entirely of vegetable ingredient
of the forest and field, is the proper treatment. S. S. S. goes down into the
circulation, and neutralizes the acids and humors, thoroughly cleansing and
purifying the blood, and curing skin affections of every kind. It supplies
to the blood the fresh, nutritive qualities necessary to sustain the skin and
all other parts of the body, and rids the blood of any and all poisons. S. S. S.
cures Eczema, Tetter, Acne, Salt Rheum, Poison ?ak and Ivy, Nettle Rash,
and all other skin troubles, and cures them permanently by removing every
trace of the cause from the blood. Special boot-, on Skin Diseases and any
medical advice desired furnished free to all who write.
THE SWIFT SPECIFIC CO., ATLANTA, GA3
I have used your S. S. S., spring and fall,
for the past two years, with the result that it
entirely relieved me of a form of Eczema
which my doctor was unable to cure. My
arms, lower limbs, and, in fact, the bissest
portion of my whole body was affected, and
when I first besan S. S. S. the itching, etc.,
was wors?, but I continued the remedy with
the result that the dry, itching eruption en
tirely disappeared. I think a great deal of
your medicine, and have recommended it to
others with good results. It is the best blood
msdicine made, and I can conscientiously
recom-iend it for the cure of all blood and
skin affections. CHAS. H0RSTMA5.
