This minister was one ( of the best and most popular in , the county and his memory is ( cherished by hundreds and hun ( dreds of people until this day. On the occasion mentioned . above he was perhaps tired, and ' when the good brother dwelt.at ] some length upon the virtues of ] the deceased, whom for conve- 1 nience we will call Bill Smith, 1 and quoted and read much scrip- 1 ture along the line of thought 1 this minister went to sleep and 1 was apparently slumbering quite 1 soundly. The brother in the i pulpit experienced some diffi t culty in naming the author of a t passage he quoted, and after several attempts to call the name he stepped forward and at the top of his voice cried, "Brethren! 1 what was his name?"
