Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday the 29th of August next a primary election for Congress, State and county officers will be held in Chesterfield County. South Carolina, under the Rules and Regulations of the Demo cratic Partv, and the polls will open at 8 a. m. and close at 4 p. m. No person is qualified to vote at said election unless he is 21 years of age or shall become so before the next General Election in November and is a Democrat and a citizen of the United States and of this State and has resided herein two (2) years and in the countv six <6) months prior to the succeeding General Election and in the Club District sixty (60) days prior to the primary and in addition to this his name must be on the proper Club Roll and he must vote the precinct where the Club Roll belongs. The Books of Enrollment show a voting strength of 4071 votes and it is hoped by the Evecutive Committee that the largest vote in the history of the County will be cast on the 29th of August. F. Stevenson, candiate for congress, states that the tuation is well expressed by the )llowing, which is found in the olumbia correspondence of the Jharlotte Observer:" "A terriffic fight is being made a Congressman D.
