How to Win Happiness
(By Mrs. VV. A. Simpson.)
Cultivatehabit of always
looking on the bright side of
every thing.
Worry and anxiety are the
great killers.
Worry has its effect on the
physical powers, it breaks down
the nerve centers, making one
less able to do ones work or to
meet any difficulty. "Don't |
cross the bridge before you
come to it" meet every trouble
as it arises.
We must accept cheerfully
our place in life while we are
in it, believing that it is the best
possible place lor us.
This does not mean thai we
should not strive to better our
condition, but it means that
while we are in one position, to
make the very best of it we can,
and not be fretful, and jealous
of others. "Oil" we say, "if I
just had something else, or were
in some other situation, 1 cou Id
be happy." No we could not
be. If we can not command
happiness in our present position
we could not find it in an
other. We must throw our
whole soul and spirt into our
work, and do it the best we can,
or know how.
No matter what our work is,
or what it may be, we must form
a habit of doing it well or we
