Our University Letter

The program for Easter week
as announced last Wednesday
morning is one well calculated
to meet with the approval of all
students and members of the
faculty. It is decidedly the best
ever planned for the week at
the University. It should also
prove attractive to the many
visitors who will be here for the
occasion. The program includes

week, the Inter-collegiate Track
Meet, a cross country run for
the Sylvan Trophy Cup a tennis
meet with Davidson, four base

ball games?two each with
Davidson and Oak Ridge, and
the three performances by the
Polkadot Club, which will present
"The Tale of a Sea Serpent"
in the Columbia Theatre
April 13 and 14.
The University students are
^ noting with pleasure the / man
county field days being held
over the State, and they expect
the largest attendance this year
at the Intra-State High School
Oratorical and Track Meet in
its history The High' School
boys will be guests of the students
of the University during
their stay in Columbia.
For the first time in the history
of football at The University
there is a Spring workout for
the next year aspriants for the
block "C."
The track meet which was to
have been held - with Davidson
last week was postponed at the
request of the Davidson manager
until a later date.
The Federal League team,
which has been using the University
diamond for Spring
i practice, nas returned North to
open the baseball seascn.
The many friends of Alfred
VonKolnitz, the former footdall
t" and baseball star of the Univer(
sity, are glad to hear of his confccess
with the Cincin.
