Our war investigation board is
a ver> active body, and we re
spectfully refer all enquiries to
the members ot this body. Mr.
R. A. Carpenter is president and
Dr. B. C. Moore is secretary and
treasurer. No report from the
warring countries escapes their
vigilent search when the daily
papers arrive and they are autho

probably the most active but
they do not constitute the whole
organization, by any means. If
vou want the war situation summed

of the officers named above, and
if he can't furnish the information
he will cite you to the
proper person.

Legislature that convenes here
at noon tomorrow. Informal

the day between members and
State officials, when proposed
legislation was discuc:..! at

Principal attention of both
branches will tomorrow be di
rected toward the annual message
of Governor Blease, which
will be his formal farewell to
that body, and the reorganization
of the two houses. Lieut.

uuv. rvnuiew j. joemeu and
James A. Hoyt, of Columbia, a!
member of the Richland county
delegation, will be the new pre
siding officers in the Senate and
House pf represenatives respectively.
General understanding
among the members here today
was that no opposition would be
