day morning. lie had been in most
excellent halth. 'up to Monday last,
when he was attacked with that fear
ful disease dipththeria, and soon be
caie ill beyond the hope of recovery.
le was about five years old and had of

IIe was an unusually bright and inter
esting child, and.was a lavorite with
everybody. His death is-a severe be
