Every person bit by an animal who is mead, or suspected of' being maad, should immediately press the wound on all sides, to force out the blood and the virus. "2. The wound should then be im nediately washed with rolatile alkali, with soap suds, with lime water. with salt water, or pure water, or if none of these are. at hand, with urine. "3.
