Setting Glass without Pultty.
The method'of setting glass without
putty, recently invented, is as fol
lows : 'I'lTe window sash is made is
entirely of wood, the out-side
permanent. The inside is framed ir
such a nanner that the parts can be
readily removed for tho purpose of
inserting the glass, which is placed
between stripjs of India rubber, which
when the parts of the sash are re
placed, causes the glass to be perfect
ly firm. The moveable parts of th<
sash are secured to their place by a
knot screw, which makes a pretty
finish. The advantages of this me
thod of setting glass must be obvious
upon a moments reflection.
