It seems to have beed meet ad appropuiate that she wis theri; and to the apprehension of the pensmnan of this .short and imperfect allusion to the-excellenee of- her character, it was a felicitous circumstance that she was once more permitted to contemplate the interesting *ceremonies of an occasion so aptly and so strikingly-associated with these ideas of truth, parity and innocence, congenlsl to, her re fited and cultivated taste, and happily allied to all the cherished affections of a heart deeply impressed with the charms of moral beauty. The vernal sun shone brightly, and Flora's chaplet breathed as sweetly and bloomed as freshly as in by-gone days-no unfit nor inex pressive emblem of the unfading loveliness and perecnial verdure of that far udore exalted felici ty, which we trust and believe she has realized in the gardens of Paradise. Foreven then the fell ravages of disease ware hovenng around her, and the bow of the insatiate archer was already drawn for his victin. On the evening of the 6th inlst., the portals of the tomb closed over her mortal remains, followed thither by a large con course of frienads, who warmly sympathise with her grieved and stricen husband, and her nimer ens relatives, in this sad bereavement. In the death of this aimable and excellent Ia dy, the eckinunity in which she has long 'resid ed have last an esteemed and beloved member, and the Church, of which she wasa pl6us' and exemplary member. one of the cherished orna ments. For many months before her death, the maternal energies of Mrs. E. had been severely tried in the care of her afflicted children. It would be superfluous to speak of he, value to these young and interesting objects of her afftiotons, or the loW which they have suatained.
