Dr. J C.Hrcs would respectfully in

publmc generally,'that he will remain at Mr.
flenjammu Mitchell's, six miles from Sumter

.the 'will hb satisfactory.
4:'COERTIFICATE.
We, the undersigned, take this method to
recommifeid Dr. J. C. HICKS, to the pub
lic amanwell worthy of patronage in his
'ofe'ssion as a Cancer Doctor. From gen
eral-6#ilniand from our own observation,
9iohave'been accustomed to think cancers
werefor the most part incurable, after hav
ing attained any great age or size; but we
liave seen "and known cancers cured by him
in a very short time, which seemed to defy
all human skill-even the sight of which
dre* from beholders remarks of fear and
despair. Henoe we gJadly embrace this
anode of recommnending hiim to the conimuni
ty,-thinking we shall thereby confer a favor
on many, and assist the cause of humanity.
