Exposition, comprising a huge Mena
gerie, Aquarium and complete Circus,
will exhibit at Orangeburg C. H. on
Wednesday November 22. This
mammonth show is the acknowledged
monarch of the amusement world,
and demonstrates what can be accom
plish ed by a life long experience, in
domitable energy and vast wealth.
Uncle John Robinson is the best
known showman in America, and so
great is his pride in the wcll-mcritod
reputation which he has won, that he
expends money with a lavish hand to
add new feautures to his concern
every season. He has a" gceat many
novelties this year which cost over
two hundred thousand dollars, and,
added to his already numberless won
ders, makes his the greatest show on
earth. We take peculiar plcrsure in
recommending Mr. Robinsons exhi
bitions 'to our readers, upon the
strength of the pronounced indorse
ment of the press and the public
wherever 1 c has been. The entire
aggregation will exhibit at Orangc
burg on Wednesday November 22

They and their kidney began to re
form the finances [?f the city of New
York in 1870. When they deposed
Tweed they fancied ihcy had squelch
ed extravagance and corruption; but
the taxes and the debt of tho city
have increased more rapidly than be
fore, and now they want to make
Tweed's old partner President, and
transfer this New York style of re
form to Washington. The people of
the country cannot understand that
kind of reform which costs more than
what is denounced by the reformers
as extravagance. 'J hey know that
the apostles above named deserted
the Republican party because their
little mutual admiration society of
fossils was not allowed to run the
foreign policy of the Government in
behalf of the foreign importers.?
