AN ORDINANCE.
To reduce and improve tbc currency of llie
Town of Camden, S. C., by issuing Bonds,
and to provide for the payment of the
same.
Be it ordained by the Intendantand Wardens
of the Town of Catodcn in Council assembled,
1. Tiiat the Intendant be and he is hereby
authorised and required to issuo Bonds to
the amount of $2,<;uO, in sums, of five, ten,
and twenty-five dollar.i, to be signed by the
Intcudant and Uecorderand sc&icd with the
seal of the Town, hearing date the 1st July,
1877, payable one year alter date, to wit:
the first day of July, 1878, with seven per
cent interest from date, to be used only in
redeeming at par (Le Town Currency now in j
circulation.
2 That the Intendant be farther authorized
to procure a new plate and have now
bills struck off, to be numbered and signed
by the Intendant and Recorder of the Town,
to redeem the balance of the town currency
now in circulation nut funded in Bonds,
to be used for no other purpose whatever.
3. That the revenue and property of said
Town be and the some is hereby pledged for
the redemption of said bonds and currency
with the interest that will have accrued
thereon, and the said bonds shall also be
received after maturity i:i payment of till
dues to the said Town. #
