The meeting at (button's Mill on
Saturday last was adjourned until Sat- 1
urday, the 28th of July, when a tuilitiu
company will be organized.

accommodate twenty horses, and an odd

our office on Monday last the finest stalk

exception?) is now a penal offence, and !
a flue of 83 or imprisonment fur 30
days, is the penalty.

fingered proclivities entered the store of
Messrs. Baum Bros., the other day and
attempted to relieve them of a portion

a coat. He was caught, however, and

AN ORDINANCE.
To reduca and improve the currency of the
Town of Camden, 8. C., by issuing Bonds,
and to provide for the payment of the
same.
Be it ordained by the Intendantnnd Wardens
of the Town of Cauidcn in Council assembled,
1. That the Intendiinl be and he is hereby
authorized and required to issue Bonds to
the amount of in sums, of five, ten,
and twenty-five dollars, to be signed by the
Inteudunt and Recorder and sckicd with the
seal of the Town, hearing date the 1st July,
1877, payable one year after date, to wit:
the first day of July, 1878, with seven per
cent iuterest from date, to be used only in
redeeming at par the Town Currency now iu
circulation.
2 That the Intendant be farther authorized
to procure a new plate and have new
bills struck off, to be numbered and signed
by the Intendant and Recorder of the Town,
to redeem the balance uf the town currency
now in circulation not funded in Bonds, tywt
to be used for no other purpose whatever.
3. That the revenue and property of said
rown be and the same is hereby pledged for
the redemption of said bonds and currency
with the interest that will have accrued
thereon, and the said bonds shall also be
received after maturity i:i payment of all
lues to the said Town.
