A suit was brought by the steamer C'oncorlia
against a commission house of New Orleans

The testimony showed the cotton to have bec'n
dripped in a storm of rain, with the banks of tin
ivcr very muddy, and to have been landed ii

The Judge decided that the boat was not responsible
for the damages, not lning liable for
he damages, not being liable for the effect of
veather upon the cotton, particularly after i:
