who were in attendance previous to my being called
to treat the case. She is at this time in the enjoyment
of as apparent good health, and from appearance,
as likely to die with any ojhnr d;sease, as
any other young lady of this city. As it respects
the health of the other two cases, all the threatening
premonitory symp'onis seem to have subsided
from the use of a few bottles of the Syrup above.

to disease of the Lungs, and, though I
have consulted the best Physicians, and adopted
at different times every reasonable means, I have
never in one instance received such effectual relief
as from this medicine. I have given it to my
children when troubled with coughs, and have

Combining every advantage which can be wished
for in furnishing light. IJy its use, a person '
can at any moment produce a candle, equal in solidity
and durability to any made by the old, expensive
and laborious method. The fibres ol the wick,
in passing through the tube within the cylender, j:

the flaring of the light, but also keeps the
candle from burning down the side.
This article is one which every house-keeper, '
as well as all who study economy in the use of
light, should possess themselves of, as it is simple,
convenient and economical, being simply a candlestick,
which makes its own candles. It is most
ingeniously constructed, with a reservoir for tallow,
lard or ether materials of which candles are '
made; also a place to deposit the wick, both of
which by only turning a screw, are forced up in
the form of a perfect candle, either in shorter long
lengths, as may be desired, thus forming an end- f

inerettsed the dose as you directed, and the result was that
he began to raise very freely, and it scented so badly that j
it wasim|)ossib!e to stay in the room where he was, on tlte
fifth day after the increase of the dose. In a day or so '
after lie began to get better, and at this present time is I
quite revived, has a good appetite, and don't eouglt a quarteras
much as lie did previously. A severe rough ami im
meuse expectoration were the prominent symptom of the
disease. J ihiitk his case a singular one none of the phy- i
sirians here had ever heard or seen any thing of the kind '
before. I mentioned all these particulars, as I ain firm in
the belief that, had it not been lor the Naphtha Syrup, lie
could have expected nothing hut a speedy grave, its there
were an immense number of tubercles formed on his lung*
which the medscine took immediate hold of, and in a few
days he threw them ui> by the quantity, some of them was
as large as a bean. if he improves as fast as he has done,
