This is only one of more than four thousand cases of

Fits! Fits! Fits!
Dr. Town send, not having tested his .Sarsaparilla in cases
of Fits, of course never recommended it, and was surprised
to receive the following from an intelligent and respectable
Fanner in Westchester county:
Fordham, Aug. 13. 18-17.
Dr. Townsend?Dear Sir; 1 have a little girl seven veare
of age, who lias been several years afflicted with Fits: we
tried almost everything for her, hut w ithout sueeess; at last,
although we could find no recommendation in our circulars
for cases like Iters, we thought, as she was in very delicate
health, we would give her some of your Sarsaparilla. ami
are very glad we did. for it has not only restored herstrength,
but she has had no return of the Kits, to our grert pleasure
and surprise. She is fast becoming rugged and hearty, for
which we feel gratful. Yours, respectfully.
JOHN BUTLER, Jr.
Female Medicine.
Dr. Townsend'? Sarsaparilla is a sovereign and speedy
cure for Incipient Consumption, Barreness, Prolapsiis'L'ten,
or fulling of the womb. Costivness, Piles, Leucorrlicra, or
Whites, obstructed or difficult Menstruation. Incontinence
of Urine, or involuntary discharge thereof, and for the general
prostration of the system; no matter whether the result
of inherent cause, produced by irregularity, illness or accident.
Nothing can be more surprising than its in\ igornting
effects on the human frame. Persons all weakness and lassitude,
from taking it. at once become robust and full of energy
under its i ifluence. It immediately counteracts the
nervelessness of the femnle frame, which is the great cotise
of barreness. It will not lie expected of us. in cases of so
delicate a nature, to exhibit certificates of cures |ierformed
hut we ran assure the afflicted, that leui'lreiisot en*c* nave
l>een reported tn us: thousands of ran-? where families
lutve been w ithout children after using a few bottle* of tin*
invaluable medicine, have been blessed with fine, healthy
offspring.
To Mothers nnd Married Ladies.
This Extract of Sarsaparilla liax been expressly prepared
I in reference to female complaints. No female who lias rea|
son to suppose site i? approaching that critical period, "The
I turn of life," should not neglect to take it. as it is a certain
preventative for any of the numerous and horrible diseases
to which femamales are subject at this time of life. This
period may be delayed several years by using this medicine.
Nor is it less valuable for those w ho are approaching womanhood,
as it is calculated to assist nature, by quickning the
blood and invigorating the system. Indeed, this medicine is
invaluable for all the delicate diseases to which woman are
subject.
It braces the whole system, renews permanently the natural
energies, by removing the impurities of the body, not
so fart tiinulatingaa to produce sub equeiit relaxation, which
is the case of nt'ist medicines in ken for female weakness and
disease. By using n few bottles of this medic Inc. many
severe and painful surgical operations may.be prevented.
Notice to the Ladies.

there is also heat, tension and throbbing in the part,

after an evacuation, and continue from thirty minutes
to several hours; these sensations are very annoying and
sometimes verv distressing. Tlii? disease, when of long
continuance, is attended by pain and weakness in the hack,
irritation of the kidneys, bladder, and other organs in the
vicinity, pain and numbness in the legs and feet a sense of
straitness about the chest, and unnatural fulness of the abdominal
viscera, accompanied w ith |>alpitation of the heart
and oppression. Individuals sometimes experience, previous
to an attack of the Piles, sv mpturns denoting great derang

pressure in the abdomen, with a peculiar feeling of uneasiness
in the bowels, constipation or perinaeum, attended
