For sale in Camden by JAMES R. McKAlN. Nov. 3, 1S47. From the Boston Medical A Surgical Journal. The Cherry Pectoral, prepared by Mr. J. C. Aycr, of Lowell, Mass., an Apothecary and Chemist of high standing, and being commended by Physicians of the highest respectability, who have lest ed its virtues, has at least one merit entirO|freedom from all suspicion of Quackery. Its ingredients and mode of preparation are fully laid open to the inspection of the Profession, and it is confidently believed its combination is such as to give the utmost energy of remedial effect. The formula, from which it is prepared, has bern published in several of the public Medical Journals of the day, and thus teasing to be a secret compound its success is made to depend upon its intrinsic merits nlot.e. The Professor of Materia Medica, at Pittsfichl, laid it before his class as one of the worthiest, truest and best things of its kind that had fallen under his noice. Other Colleges and high Medical authorities have given it a scarcely less flattering reception. \Vc And in the statistical table of Lowell Manufactures, this article mentioned as a staplo prodct ol that city. The flattering success that lias attended its usp does indeed seem to give reasonable ground for itope that it will yet be instrumental in subduing, to some extent, consumption and the other pulmonary diseases so alaamingly prevalent in this climate. Whilst the Pectoral Cherry is a powerful and efficient remedy in aggravated disease, it is also, in diminished doses, one of the plcasantest, safest, and best family medicines in use. C.
