He will be let to Mares (during the Summer
Season) at fifteen Dollars the single
' Visit twenty Dollars the Season and fifty
' > Dollars to Insurc--50 Cents to the Groom
in every instance. Money, or an approved j
note payable on the 1st day of November,
next must be sent with each mare or she
will not be served.

Godolphin was got by Eclipse, out of
Sylph; she out <?1 Lottery, hy Hephestion;
.\ be out of Caslianira, (Sir Arcliy's dam.) by
Imported Buzzard; his blood trues immediately
back to the best English stock. In
short, there is not a better bred horse in
the U. States, or in England.

lates to their own Brigades.
The Commandants of Regiments will make their
annual returns to their Brigadier Generals at such
times as they may direct, to enable them to make
their returns to the Adjutant General by the fifteenth
of October next.

collar, and a saddle mark upon her back.

may be found at David Taylor's three
miles from Lancaster C. H. The owner
is requested to prove properly, pay charges,
and take her away.

and the Magazine lot, in Abbeville. I
have the honor to report:
I attended at Abbeville on the first Monday
of this month' and effected a sale of
the said lots, at public auction, in conformity
to notice previously given in the Gazetts.
The Arsenal was purchased by T.
D. Williams, at 8305. The Magazine by
John Taggart, at 8280. The purchasers
resided in the village of Abbeville, and
are responsible citizens.
I have the honor to accompany herewith,
their several obligations, sustained
by ample surity.

from the Adjutant and Inspector General,
and my report thereon, marked (B.,) to
Ex-Governor Pierce M. Butler.
During the administration of the late
Govenor Noble, he authorized me to cancel
the obligation of Taggart for the
purchase of the Magizine lot, and to accept
the bond of D. Douglas.
The said Douglas has tecently paid n?e
the purchase money, wiih interest, amounting
to 8321, and 1 witnessed a transfer oi
the said lot, known as the Magazine, tc
John Cunningham.
The bond of Williams for the purchase
I of the Arsenal, has not yet been paid, as
there is some difficulty in regard to title.?
It seems there is no record of title or transfer
of the said lot of ground to the State,
and a man by the name of Charles Dendy,
who owns an adjoining lot, has set u[
a pretext of claim to the ground, to the
injury and annoyance of Williams, th<
purchaser.
