Y.Sun. The Rock River Traokdy.?A letter from Judge Ford, dated Oregon city, Illinois. September 27, to the Editor of the Peoria Register, says: " The persons who had a hand in the Driscal murder last summer have been indicted and tried at the recent term of the circuit court of | Ogle county. One hundred rind twenty persons were, indicted, and all acquitted by the jury." The Salem Gazette says that eighteen millions of dollars have now lyen invested in railroads within the limits of Massachusetts, all of which, when finished, will ' have pnjd at least six per cent, beyond a!) 1 exjienses, repairs, &c. Melancholy Occurence.?A dread- I fill arcidcnt occurred in Martin county, (N. C.) on the 23d nit. But it stands up, aad defeat will, in the end, rouse it into full life and action. It has the power still!
