We see by the report of the Comptrol-:
ler, that there were 89,965 acres and 11
buildings forfeited for taxes in this county
last year. The taxes on the above 1
property amounted to $4,691.10.

We are in receipt of the animal report
of th? Comptroller-General, and in looking
it over to find the report of the Conn,
tj Commissioners of Beaufort County,
which ii? not there, wejfound the settlement
of the Treasurer of tbie County for County
tax?? and aa a matter of news we give
it place in etr columne.
The settlement is dated September 7th,
1874, for the year 1 and is as follows:
