being rewarded by the Executive Council as
the paramount law of the State, and the necessity
of maintaining a police through the exemption
of Oversoers being considered of vital
importance by the Executive Council, be it
ordained, That all exemptions of Overseers,
properly granted by the Adjutant and Inspector-General
upon certificates complying with
the requirements of "an Ordinance to exempt
Ovprseers from the performance of militia duty,"
shall be regarded by the Adjutant and
Inspector General as exempting Overseers from
the operation of the Conscript Act.
