RHODES' SUPER-PHOSPHATE! PLANTERS seeking Manure, will recollect that RHODES' SUPER PHOSPHATE is the only Mniuire the liitc emijient analytical Chemist, Profennor Biekell, of MaryhmJ, pronounced Standard I and which has bfen confirmed by every Motion into which thii? Manure has beon introduced. This Manure is sold under a legal guarantee of Purity and Freedom FROM All Alll'lTEMTIOl! from the eminent manufacturing chemists, Messrs. Potts ?L Klett, und??r whose personal supervision UIlOPIvS' SU PKK-PHOSPllATH is manufactured. This Manure lias been used iti Sooth Carolina for se.\eral years past, with great success in the culture of Cotton anil Civrn, and is now thoroughly established for these important staples. ])<> not. let the present season pass without the experiment. Read the annexed letters from gentleman who have tried it the past season. J. A. ANSLEY & CO., NO. 300 BROAD ST., AUGUSTA, OA. ATHENS, OA..'Nov. 22, 1850. Dear.JSir : Rhodes' Super-Phosphate has been applied by me this year.on h small scale, to both Corn and Cotton. The result exeecden niv ?-t? pectation,'although tlic experiments, for muny reasons, were not, and could not be condnc'ad with due caution; yet 1 nm entirely satisfied, tbfct the growth of weed, in both instances, tlie fruit in corn, nnd the nmnber of bolls of cotton, were fully donblc the j*i?-ld in tbe portions unmanured, and this when only a table-spoonful' of tbe Super- I'hosphute was applied as a topdressing to each bill of corn, and a tea-spoonful1 to each stalk of cotton?nnd tbe lust ns lute in the peason as the 18th of July. Some of tbe weed grew to nine feet high, with 6ix feet branches, covered with bolls,, while the uninanured was not half so good. It is my intention next year, to test it more fully. Very Respectfully, Your moat ob't serv't, (Sigis-ed) M. C. M. HAMMOND. UNION TOINT, (O. 11. It.) Nov. 28, 1859. Messrs. J. A. Anslky it Co.: Oetita.?I bought a ton of Rhodes' Super? Thosphate in Baltimore, last Sprinir, Mr. II. D. Lcitner, of Berzelia, to test its value as a manure. I put about 125 lbs. on an acre of cotton, in the drill, on land that would not make over *75 to 100 lbs. of seed cotton per acre, without Manure. The result is entirely satisfactory. I have made at least from 450 to 500 lb(>i to the acre on this very poor land. I expect to purchase from 5 to 8 tons for my Spring crop. My Overseer wishes mo to put bis name to this al^o. ???. i??
