and Abbeville, by three desperate
outlaws, to wit: ? Brown, known as Texna
Brown, by ? Sullivan, of Laurens, and
by ? Bnrkett, aliai Burkhead, alio? Wallace,
wherein the livcBof many persons have
been threatened and the property of others
pillaged; and whereas It has been represented
that Elins Brown, a freodinan, has
been murdered by the two former; and
whereas the anid Brown committed nn ns
snnlt and battery on the person of Lewis
Clark, iv freedmun, with intent to kill, nt
