This is our weak point. It is not that the currency is regardeduosouud, but lire wl. le country suffers fr&m a plethora. Men who counted their purses formerly by tons, now enumerate their- rolls by hundreds and thousands, for which tliev can find no investment. ' Money is so abundent, that property does' not seek exchange; and pi iocs, consequently, are correspondingly inflated. Instead of iseving paper money- enough merely to increase the circulating medium sufficiently to meet the increased demand caused by the larger internal transactions of the war, and stopping at that'point, the Governrosnt ima gone on issuing to meet its engagement* withwii suiting In any^-? .
