His father, John O'Brien, an Iiishman. emigrated to this country about (lit year 1749. and soon after mariied a ) onng squaw of the Stock bridge tiihe of Indians, of whom was Iioin John O'Brien Shenandoah, in the year 1751. The father being a man of means, sent bis Fon to France to ob'ain a good classical education.
