CHANEY, formerly of Union countv, Nortl

Now, know ye, that to the end that jastie<
may t>e done, end that the said Chancy may b<
brought to legal trial for his offence, as aforesaid,
I, R. F. W. Allston, Governor and Commander
in-Chief in and over the State aforesaid, uo i*?u<3
this my proclamation, offering a reward of TWO
HUNDRED DOLLARS fur his apprehension and
delivery in the iail at Pickens Court House.
* Said Chancy is described as being about 6 feet
10 or 11 inches high; weighing about 170
pounds; about 19 years of age, dark hair, blu?
eyes, ra' her dark skin, left side of face badly
burnt with gun-powder, particularly about the
nose and left eye; has a small scar on the lefl
ids of the upper lip; rather quick spoken, and
? loud voiee when speaking. Said Chancy wsi
tiarn and raised in Union county, North Carolina.

The Numbers from 1 to 60,000, corresponding

separate slips of paper, are encircled with small
tin tubes and placed in one wheel.
