Bohemia.?Poor Bohemia, which has
been wet with t^tf blood of noble Protestant
martyrs, and at one Jinio promised to beooiffe
thoroughly Protestant, is now in a deplorable
condition, as wo learn from a correspondent
Tho cvopgelical churches are
nearly extinct, and are now losing ground
steadily, under tho oppressive laws of tho
Austrian Government." Their students cannot*
study at foreign universities; their pastors
cannot ctx&s tho boundaries of the kingdom
without permission from both tho civil
and ecclesiastical authorities, and all intercourse
of a clergyman with his brethren in
foreign countries is rightly prohibited.?
The children of Protestants married to Cath*6rtfca
are brought up in the Roihish Church.
Tn addition tO'tlieso hardships, the churches
Irave for many fears been withering under

gradually but extensively among both clergy
