QUARANTINE NOTICE.

The attention of Pilots and Masters of Vessels is
called to the following provisions of the Quarantine
Act which will be rigidly enforced on and after the
first of May, proximo: "Vessels from any place
where nestilential. contagious or infectious
diseases existed at the time of their departure,
or shall bare touched at such ports. Vessels
on board of which during the voyage, or at the port
of their departure, any person shall have been sick,
and vessels from foreign ports, shall on arrival at
the quarantine ground be subject to visitation and
examination by the Health officer."
Vessels from a contagious or infectious port, or
having on board such disease, will be anchored in
the lower bay, below the present anchorage of the
Fleet.
Vessels subject to visitation and examination wij]
display their colors in the main rigging. Those not
subject to such examination will set their colors in
the fore rigging.
