By way of compensation, the States entering into this treaty with Denmark promise to pay the latter the sum of 39,$70,098 lix dollarsvaccording to various quotas already agreed upon, and with >. the provision that each State is liable only for its own quota. The advantages which this Soup possesses over uny other whieli is now, or will ever hereafter be in use, are these: In the first place, j'ou eon make the finest and most beautiful Toilet Soup, highly perfumed und richly colored, at a cost (buying the chemicals by wholesale,) of only Four Cents per |K>uud. In the second place, you can make the prettiest, whitest, and nicest Washing Soap at a cost ol only three-quarters of n cent per |H>tiud?75 cents for a hundred pounds. In the four lb place, this Soap will clean the skin better, (if people nrcdispoKud to doubt it, we will prove what we say, by applying it to two or three boys?or, rather young men?who weui boots outside of their pants uliout town,) and it will wash clothes whiter, and with less washing, than uny other washing coni|H>iiud now in use. A pocket handkerchief, or piece of homespun, may be dipped into a tar bucket, or drawn through u carriage wheel, until it is completely covered with tar, or jjreaHe and black lead, and then ill three washings in cold icntcr, (of course il will wash better in warm.) it will be mude as whitens it originally was. No other Soup will do this. It will take gre?Be out of floors; and i; friend remarked to us the other day, that lie belicved it would go through an inch plank after i little paint, tnr or grease.
