Railway Company, on Its littlo line from Chnrles tou to Camden, ? distance of 140 mile*, charges more neigh* on a single article than nil the lines of v&*ds from Cincin nati to-Camden. For example, a party had a couple of buggies shipped from Cincinnati to Camden for $14.88; that is $7.34 apiece?a distance at least 8 or 7 times as great as from Charleston to Camden ?and yet the 8. C. Hallway Co. charges the same party $8.14 on a buggy from Charleston to Camden. Can you throw any light on tho subject? If this is tho rate of charges on tho South Car olina road, Is It surprising that tho peo plo desire another outlet to market for their produce? Jf (Ids Is a regulation of freight by that almighty railroad commission. tho best thing the Legislature can do Is to dis miss this commission at once and wipe out all Its acts.
