The Ueljemont Cotton Factory at 8utn
ter, 8. C., although a small mill and not yet
halt filled with machinery, is turning on as
much yum to the spindle at) any mill iu the
Siaie. The factory has employed 87 hands,
has a capital stock of $40,800, consumes
annually 875 000 pouuds of oolt on. The mill
now has 1,984 spindles and is run eulirely
by stoum. The tint year of its operation a
dividend of 8 per ceni. was declared to the
stockholders, and there seems to be no
doubt that the mill would pay handsomely
If the needed oapital to fill the building with
machinery could be raised.
