the county commissioners published a very
carefully itemised report in two. newspa
pers, the Journal and Review and the Recor
der And it wae money well spent, And
exemplified the integrity of the offioials.
And so, in proportion in these counties

reports of oounty treasurers and sehool
commissioners.
The feot of the law requiring suoh reports
to be published Is proof that perfeot publio
ity is aimed at. And In suoh publicity
there Is safcty to offioials and to' people.
Ae regards our own county, we do not
hesitate to say lhat the eoonomy practiced
by cur offlolals in thla respect, is strained,
unwise and dangerous. The money to pay

of the people's pocket, and *e believe that
