'lhe brigade arrived at Catooso Station
on the railroad September 18, and next
morning proceeded to Klngold, where it
was united with BarksdaleNi old brigade,
now under the command of Brlg.-Gen.
Humphries. Oil the night of the 10th,
the battle of that day having given us
poscssion of the river, these two brigades
crossed the Chick iimauga, and on the
morning of the 20th moved into position
