supplies remaining alter furnishing the .Gbvornment

like, to be consumed in family use, and to sell to the
Government or the families of soldiers only what'may

This claim is in violation of law, and of their contract
witn the Government, and cannot bo allowed.
,. "Upon satisfactory evidence being furnished that
"persons exempted as overseers or agriculturists have
or are thus disposing of their surplus productions bv
excliarigo as a foresaid, Enrolling Officers will arrest
all s.llch persons, lorward thorn to their nearest Camps
<oif Instruction, to bo retained there until final action
shall bo taken and announced in their cases, and forward
through the proper ciiamiels of commitment ion to
this llurenu a report of all the facts and circumstances
of each dasc.
"Every agriculturist or overseer, upon receiving his
.certificate of exemption, should bo informed that the
action indicated abovo will bo taken in the event of
his not disposing of his marketable surplus in nccoKlmice
with the requirements of law.'"
