of this State, the following announcouiont in nfadg :
. 1. All mnle white persons resident in this State, be*
tween the ages? of siiteeu ond sixty years, capable of
! bearing nrins, oxcopt. persons who aro exempt from I
''all militia service," are liable to militia duty, both orJ
dinarv and in the field in timos of alarm, insurrection'
or Invasion.
II. Persona who have been enrolled for Confederate
service ami detailed to remain at ,liome in civil employments
or pursuits, or who have heen exempted
I i'rom Confederate service during the continuance oF
such ^exemption or detail, ore liablo as other citizens intimes
ofinvasionITI.
Persons who have been enrolled for Confederate
service, whether general or local, although detailed
to'remain at homo, aro not eligible to.any militia office.

jurisdiction over the classes of Reserves,. except in the
grunting of Bxenqrtions under the Act of Congrosh, en-"
titled.' An A.ct to organize forces to serve during the
War," it is ordered, pursuant to instructions of the Superintendent
that all Detail* heretofore grantod to per-, sous
of t lie Reserve classes by the officers of conscription
he and they am hereby revokod. Details of persons
of these classes will hereafter bo made.only by
the order of IJrigadier General Jarues Chesnut, commanding
Reserve Forces in this Stato. '
II. Enrolling Officers will proceed at once to furnish
to Brigadier General Chesnut a roll of all persons
of the classes of Reserves whoso details aro hereby revoked.
