TELEGRAPHIC INTELLIGENCE.
Ten Days Later from Europe.
New York, Dec. 13.?The United States
Mail Steamship Pacific, Uapt. ?\ye, nas arnveu
at her wharf in this city from Liverpool, which
port she left on the 2d inst.
The intelligence by this arrival is ten days
later than that brought by the Union.
Tub Liverpool Cotton Market.-The sales
of Cotton during the ten days that elapsed af
tar the departure of the Union, compiled
59,00(1 bales, of which speculators took 1000
and exporters 8000, leaving 50,000 bales of j
all descriptions to the trade. The market since ,
the 22d ult. had declined from 1 8d a l-4d.?
Holders were pressing on the market. Fair
Orleans was quoted at Oil; Middling Orleans
at 5d; Fair Upland at 5 5-Sd, and .Middling
, r - Upland at 4 7 8d. i
On the 2d inst. Cotton closed dull and 7000
bales^hanged hands at previous rates.
Messrs. Brown and Shipley quote Middling 1
Orleans at 5 3-10d, Fair Mobile and Fair L"p- i
lands at 5 7 Sd, and Middling Mobile and '
Middling Uplands at 5J.
Messrs. Richardson and Co. report that tl e.e
was a general desire to sell, and that th * mai ket
had declined a farthing on the ten d:n s.
State of Trade.?In Manchester business
was very dull and Stocks were accumulating?
indeed the aspect of commercial a flairs was ]
very gloomy, and a crisis was at hand. '
General Intelligence.?No additional intelligence
of any interest has been received
from Sebastopol since the battle of Inkerinaiin
on the 5th ult. neither party having been in a
condition to undertake offensive operations. t
The report that a battle had occurred on the '
13th ult. is incorrect.
The utmost activity is manifested by France t
nnd England in sending reinforcements, as the t
n m o 1
safety of the allied forces in the Crimea de 1
pends thereon. Several thousand troops had J
. alreadv arrived. ,
Louis Napoleon says that a powerful diver^
sion will be made in Bessarabia.
The Austrian and Russian L>iplomati.-ts were
actively at woik, but France and England had
given notice that they would not treat on the (
basis of the four conditions.
It was reported that the Russians had captured
two English vessels cruising in the Bal?
tic. .
The Very Latest.
Advices from Constantinople of the 20th 1
nit. state that a great storm had oeeui red in (
the Black Sea on the 14th n't. a: d that 32
English Transports had been lost. The Prince i
(ship of the line) and the Sea Nymph foundered
with all on board. Three mail steamers
were stranded. The Sanspareil (ship of the
line) run ashore, having caught lire. The f
Britannia was lost. The Agamemnon (ship of s
the line) was stranded, but afterwards got afloa'.

It is now ascertained that the Russians lost
in the battle of the 5th iust. 15,000 killed and
wounded. The Allies buried 5000 Russians |
who had been left dead on the field. \
The Paris Moniteur says, that 70.000 Itns- |
sians were engaged in the affair. 1
A despatch from General Canr<?bert of the j
13th ult. says that the operations of the s'ege x
were proceeding, and that the health and spir- 1
its of the troops were good. 1
Prince Menschikoff says, tinder date of the ,
18th ult. that the siege operations had been
suspended, and that the cauuouaile had gradu t
ally relaxed, ami had almost ceased on that f
day. 1
The Overland Indian .Mail had arrived in ,
London, with advices from Bombay to the21ft
of October, and Hong Kong to the llth of
Oetober. It is reported by these advices, that
the Russians had invaded Bokhara, and been ,
defeated by fifty thousand troops sent by the
Padishah. In the markets, there had been no I
change of importance. At Canton, there had '
been less fighting.
The British Parliament was summoned to
meet on the 12th instant. Reports weie alloat
that a ?10,01)0,000 loan would be negotiated,
