It is easy enongh for the New
York Tribune to advise a large
number of persons now engaged in
journalism to abandon their voca?
tion and turn to agriculture. If
the Tribune is really aurioua to see
them make tho change, let it come
out squarely and say "Young men,1
go "West; the Tribune will give you
fifty cents for every turnip you can
raise for the first three years."
Some such conduct as that would
soon make the desert blossom and
give employment to hundreds of
those who now cumber the road
to newspaper prosperity.
