The phoephoric acid in the Guano averaged about 12$ per cent., equal to 27 8 per eent. of Bone Phosphate. A considerable quan? tity of the phosphoric acid, however, is Eresent as eo-called neutral Phosphate of Jme, which, being slightly soluble in water, renders tho Guano as quick in Its action aa a corresponding quantity of Su? perphosphates would do.
