Tbe plaintiff's bill alleges that he was
an Iudian trader in the Cbootaw
Nation in 1861, at wbioh time the Ml
thodiat Episcopal Church South sent
out a number of persons to establish u
manual labor school iu that nation.
Wright claims that be advanced largo
sums to these persons, and that at tbe ;
time the church ceaved operations
there, in 1863. it was indebted to him ,
to the amonfat of 825,000, for which
sum, with other moneys afterwards,
edvanoed, ho is now suing.

Ned Tennant Surrendered. ? A
gentleman from Edgetteld, yesterd iy,
brought the information that Ned Ten

officers of the law, and is now in jail
at Elgefiaid Court House. A letter
to this effect wa9 written by General
M. C. Butler, from Edgefield, to Col.
A. P. Butler. We did not learn whe?
ther any others of Teunant's party had
been apprehended. There has beeu

The Coming Man.?Yesterday morn- I
ing was cold and cheerless. Standing
on tbe corner of Fourth aud Main
streets was a boy. He was a poor boy,
and looking at him reminded us of the
words of the song:
"Out in the cold world,

Of each ono I meet."
His form was thinly olad. He wore a
oloth cap. His pants were torn, hin
hirt was thin and ragged, and he wore
a garment that might have been a coat
a long time ago. And tbeie be stood,
shivering, tears trickling down his
rosy cheek, smothered in dirt, bis lit?
tle hands bidden iu the folds of his
ooat, aud bis eyes fixed upon his dirty,
shoeless, trembling feet. He looked
like a homeless and friendless wan
deier, whom charity had kicked out of
the poor house. One by one, people
pas?od him by?just like the world?
but presently a young man, who clerks
in s Main street house iu day-time aud
?ies to the skating link with his "in?
tended" at night, saw him. He didn't {
have time to ask this "object of pity"
what ho'could do to aid him,'before;
the poor boy suid, "Mister, please, sir,
give me two dollars to buy a pair of
shost with," aud that boy wept. Tbe
young man guve bim the two dollars,
feeling that be had made one heart
happy, at leust. Last night, the young I
man took "his girl" oat to the skating
park, and bad told her of bis net of
charity towards the poor boy. Going
out to put her skates on her, ke saw
this poor, pitiful son-of-u-gun putting
a brand new pair of skates upon his I
feet. Tbe boy saw bim, and as he
arose to "elide off," he looked at his I
benefactor and "struck out," saying,
"I'm hell on skeats, mister," and he
was gone. Uncle Sam ought to speak
