Pane Robuery.?A bold robbery
was committed at Corinth, Miss., at
half-past 1 o'clock, on the 8th. Four
well mounted men rode up to the
Tishomingo Savings Bunk, two en?
tered and lecked the door aud two re?
mained outside. The two who were
inside demanded the t afo keys, which
President Taylor refused, whercupou
they attacked him with knives and
compelled him to submit. They took
over $5,000 in currenoy, and as much
more in watches and diamonds. Mr.
Taylor was not budly hurt. A colored
man was in the bank making a deposit
at the time, aud was not permitted to
?leave until the robbers retired. They
were in the bauk fifteen minutes.
Those who observed the bauk sup?
posed Mr. Taylor had gone to dinner.
Tho bauk is iu au out-of-the-wny
place, and not much noticed by the
public. The robbers bad been lurk?
ing about the town and Couuty for
two weeks. They tired several shots as
they departed, and made off at full
speed in the directiou of the Tennessee
River. The Sheriff, with a largo posse,
has gouo iu pursuit.
