Transfer printing inks are invaluable to railroad companies, banks, mer? chants, manufacturers and others. They are enduring aud ohangeles's, and will oopy sharp and clear for an indefinite period of time. Having just received a fresh supply of inks, we are prepared to execute orders at moderate prices. Persons indebted to the Phoenix office are earnestly requested to call and settle at once. There is a large amount due? the greater portion in small sums. The indebtedness must be liquidated, or we shall be forced to resort to extreme mea eures. B|The fourth grand gift concert for the benefit of the public library of Ken? tucky comes off on 31st March. Tickets can be had through Mr. D. Gambrill, up to tbe 20th instant, after which date all unsold will bo returned. Old type?superior to Rabbit metal for many purposes and much cheaper? can be obtained in any quantity at the Phoenix Office. Tho Phoenix job ofiice is complete iu every respect, and cards, posters, pro? grammes, bill-heads, etc., are turned out with alacrity. South Carolina Monument Associa? tion.?The monument proposed to be erected by the women of South Caro? lina, in memory of. their gallant dead in the late Confederate war, has been de? layed in its completion by want, of the necessary funds. The cost of tho monu? ment will be $10,000; tho first install? ment of $5,000 has been already paid to the distinguished architects, Muldoon A' Co., of Kentucky, who are proceeding with tho monument, which, when finished, will be a noblo and beautiful tribute to our deoeascd soldiers. It is requisite that $5,000 ehnll bo raised by October next, to complete this sum of $iu,000. This can be easily obtained, if eeoh District will pledge itself to gi.o 8200, and if erery individual who re? ceives one of these circulars will send tbe small sum of Si. Let a treasurer and collectors be appointed iu every vil? lage and city, and let the money collect? ed by these local treasurers be promptly forwarded to the General Treasurer, Mrs. W. K. Baehmau, at Colombia. If the ladies in these Districts will give the matter their earnest attention, wo are convinced that tuey will toon secure the amount repuircd. Surely nono will re? fuse to aid in pcrpetuutiifg tbo memory of those who counted not their lives dear that they might save the hiud they loved so well; and though the cause they died for be lost, all is not lohf, so long us their grand epitaph, "They died for their principles," whether engraven on marble or on the tabh Km of our hearts, bbn'.l contain for us and for future gene? rations inspiration and hope.
