to be levied to pay the si mi annual coupons,
and theOaroliua National Bank ia made the

The taxable property of the city is at pro- |
sent assessed at $7,000,0(0; and by said Act
the bond debt of the city cannot be inoreaaed
beyond $600,000 whilst these bonds are out
Handing. The bonds are exempt by law from
oity taxation.
These bonds are offered to tbe pnblio at
eighty nelt, with interest from date of por
j chase to January 1, 1873, allowed in settle
ment. After that date, tbe accrued intereat
to be added.
To citizens of Columbia tbeso bonds will
