the following: "Mr. O. H. Kelsey, a|
well-to-do farmer of Huntington, Long
Island, thirty-two years old, was on
Monday night tarred and feathered by a
party of disguised persons, for peraist
ont and unwelcome attentions to a Miss
Jnlia Smith. Kelsey had' been warned
to cease annoying, her, bat persisted,
with the result stated."
A boy thirteen years of age, who died
recently in an English hospital, from the
effects of an accident, was found to have
a brain whioh' weighed.fifty-e?ght ounces;
about eight ounces above the weight of
the average male ad alts. He had been
a.particularly healthy lad, and very in?
telligent, .
fro less than 240 witnesses have been
summoned to appear before the court
whioh is to try Marshal Bazaine. The
marshal himself was before the military
commission on Monday, and examined
at great length.
