December, for the following roasonB:
1. The failure of certain agents to make re?
turns in time for the drawing to tuko placo
Soutomber 28.
2. The accumulation of orders during tho
last tow days to mich an extent that it wau not
poBBiblo to fill them and havo tho drawing on
the 28th.
3. The general expreBBed desire of ticket
holders that a fall drawing might bo had,
even if it made a short poBtponemont neces?
sary.
4. The bolicf of tho management that by a
short postponement the remnant of unsold
tickets can bo diapoaed of, and all the prizes
paid in full, without the necessity of any pro
rata scaling down.
For these reasons, coupled with tho earnest
deBire to benefit the Publio Library by alarger
balance, and the ticket-holders by larger gifts,
the ooBcert and distribution have been poat
Soned to Saturday, tho 7th of December, 1872.

The drawing will be published in the Louis?
ville papers and New York Herald, and ofllcial
copies mailed to all parties ont of Louisville
to whom tiokets have been sent by letter.
The remnants of tickets yet unsold will be
furnished to tlioso who firat apply for them,
and as general a distribution of them will be
made among agents as their limited number
will permit. No agent will bo permitted, on
any account whatever, to hold or sell a ticket
for the management after November 25,1872.
