At Grenada, iu Spain, in an old boneo
which had tumbled into ruins und has
been for some months past undergoing
reconstruction, the workmen bavo come
upon a subterranean passage 185 feet
long by 7J? feet wide, oarved out of the
solid rock, und at the end of which were
found seven female skeletons. By medi?
cal examination, it has been proved that
these skeletons have occupied that posi?
tion not less than forty nor more than
sixty years. But by a comparison of
dates, it has been found that tho house

Pedro Como, whose sons are still living
and occupying high financial positions
in America. This merchant died at Yera
Graz, in 1819 or 1850, at the age of

The horrible question has therefore been
raised in Grenada, whether these tkele
tons are not the silent witnesses of some
dreadful crimes, and whether this myste?
rious cavern may not have been the dun
geon of a Bluebeard more terrible than
