1872.-The Board of Directors of the
South Carolina Mouument Association,
encouraged by the success of the bazaar,
last year, and yielding to the urgent
request of. a great number of persons,
take pleasure in announcing that they
will open a "monument restaurant" at
the fair grounds, on the first day of the
fair, and will not close their sales until
after the distribution of prizes. This
restaurant is entirely under the control
of the Board of Direotors of the associa?
tion, and the Executive Committee is
appointed from their number. Lunches
will be sorved from ll A. M. till 4 P. M.

as well as of money aro solicited, and
may be sent to either of the following

to fight by the side of tho gallant dead
whoso deeds we commemorate; to the
mothers and wives of these men; to their
ohildron, who, in years to come, aro to
redeem South Carolina; and lastly, to
those who love liberty and who honor
the past and pray for the future of our
beloved State.
