FATAL ACCIDENT TO A YOUNO BHIDAII
COUPLH,-We learned of o fatal eooi
dent that occurred at the Hawk's Nest
]aat week, and which resulted in the
death of a young oouplo named A/iron,
who were on their bridal tour from the
East. They had come to view the beau?
ties of this lovely plaoe, and on going
too near the edge of the cliff, they both
lost their footing and were precipitated
below, killing them instantly. On com?
ing to their assistance, their bodies and
faces were mangled so fearfully as to be
nnrecognizable. The lady fell on her
head, mashing it into atoms, brooking
her breast into a jelly. The gentleman's
brains were knocked ourruud his body
broken to pieces. Th??r friends have
been'telegraphed for, who are supposed
to be at Buffalo, Nj Y.
[Charlestown ( W. Va.) Courier.
Despatches frotfi ifcnta Fe, New Mexi?
co, state that bat little notice is taken of
the reported dtectfveries of precious
stones in that section, and little credence
is given them. -A great and destructive
flood has occurred in tho Santa Fo River,
which is usually a small creek.
Col. Mosby, it is telegraphed from
Washington^.is there, and assures peo?
