O? the eighteen Presidents of the United States were born in the vernal season of the year, viz: James Madison, on March 5, 1751 ; Andrew Jackson, on March 15, 1767; John Tyler, on March 29, 1790; Thomas Jefferson, on April 2, 1743; James Monroe, on April 28,1758; James Buchanan, on April 23,1791, and Ulysses S. Grant, on April 27, 1822. President Grant's fiftieth birth-day will, therefore, oocur thia month. The only incumbent of the Presidential chair born in the summer season was John Quinoy Adams, whose birth dates July ll, 1767] Those of the Presidents who were born in the season of autumn were: John Adams, on Ootober 30, 1735; James K. Polk, on November 2, 1795; Zachary Taylor, on November 24,1784, and Franklin Pierce, on November 23, 1804. The Presidents who were born during the winter months were: George Washington, on February 22, 1732; Martin Vau Buren, on Decem? ber 5, 1782; Wm. Henry Harrison, on February 9, 1773; Millard Fillmore, bu January 7, 1800; Andrew Johnson, on December 29, 1803, and Abraham Lin? coln, on February 12, 1809. President Washington died in his 68th year; John Adams in bis 74th; Jefferson in his 91st; Madison in his 85th; Monroe in his 73d; Jackson in his 78th; John Q. Adams in his 81st; Yan Buren in his 80th; Harri? son in his 69th; Tyler in his 73d; Taylor in his 66th; Polk in his 54th. Fillmore is still alive and in his 72d year. Pierce died in his 66th; Buchanan in his 77th; Lincoln iu his 56th. Johnson is alive and in his 64th year, and President Grant is 50 years of age this month.
